قصة اللعبة تأخذ مكانا بعد احداث الجزء الثاني من اللعبة .مع عودة ديوك الى اﻷرض في مركبته الفضائية .ينزل ديوك في لوس انجليس لقضاء عطلة .يتم اطﻻق النار على مركبته من قبل عدو مجهول وفي نفس الوقت يتلقى نداء استغاثة ويعلم بأن الفضائيين يهاجمون لوس انجليس ويستحوذون على الشرطة .يأتي دور ديوك لخوض مغامرته ﻷيقاف الغزو اﻷجنبي والتغلب على اﻷعداء في عدة مراحل شيقة في جيم بلي تصويب من منظور الشخص اﻷول. -

Duke Nukem 3D is a first-person shooter video game developed by 3D Realms and published by GT Interactive Software. in 1998 for Sega Genesis

The game picks up right after the events of Duke Nukem II, with Duke returning to Earth in his space cruiser. As Duke descends on Los Angeles in hopes of taking a vacation, his ship is shot down by unknown hostiles. While sending a distress signal, Duke learns that aliens are attacking Los Angeles and have mutated the LAPD. With his vacation plans now ruined, Duke hits the "eject" button, and vows to do whatever it takes to stop the alien invasion
