قصة اللعبة تتبع البطل كﻵود ستريف الذي ينظم الى منظمة ايكو المتمردة والتي بدورها تسعى وبشكل غير قانوني ﻷيقاف شركة شينارا الكبرى المسيطرة على العالم من استنزاف الحياة على اﻷرض واستخدامها كمصادر للطاقة ، مع تقدم قصة اللعبة يتورط كﻵود واصدقائه في صراع يهدد العالم اجمع ، وفيها يواجه اعتى اﻷعداء الذين يريدون السيطرة على العالم وتدميره ومهمته فاللعبة ايقافهم والتخلص منهم . -

Final Fantasy VII follows protagonist Cloud Strife, a mercenary who initially joins the eco-terrorist rebel organization AVALANCHE to stop the world-controlling mega corporation Shinra from draining the life of the planet for use as an energy source. As the story progresses, Cloud and his allies become involved in a larger world-threatening conflict, facing off against Sephiroth, the game's main antagonist.
