على مدار مغامراته .تمكن مستر هيجينز من الحفاظ على السﻻم والهدوء في موطنه وجزيرته وحصل على الدعم من الناس المحليين وتزوج من ملكة جمال الغابة تينا .في ليلة كانت تعم بالهدوء وكان الشاب هيجينز يستمتع بوقته كعادته فجأة ضهر ساحر شرير وقام بتحويل زوجته تينا الى تمثال متحجرة الى اﻷبد .الساحر يهرب الى جبل الجليد اﻷسطوري عبر البحر وهنا يبدأ هيجينز مغامرته عبر مراحل صعبة يشق فيها طريقه ليصل الى الساحر ويتغلب عليه من اجل استعادة تينا الى طبيعتها ... -

Super Adventure Island (高橋名人の大冒険島 Takahashi Meijin no Daibōken Jima?, "Great Takahashi's Great Adventure Island") is a side-scrolling platform game by Hudson Softoriginally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992and later re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console download service in 2011. It was the first Adventure Island game released for the SNES and came out between the releases of the NES games Adventure Island II and Adventure Island 3. It was later followed by Super Adventure Island II.

The player controls Higgins as he travels his way through five stages with four areas each. The first three areas in each stage has Higgins fighting his way through an obstacle course, fighting many traps and enemies, in order to reach the goal ball. The final area in each stage consists of a boss battle.
