تبدأ قصة اللعبة عندما يدعو البيت اﻷبيض الى اجتماع طارئ حيث يكتشفون ان الديكتاتور العسكري دون جوانو يستخدم عائدات مالية من صادرات النفط الكبيرة له لتمويل جيشه الكبير والبحرية الخاصة به . هو اﻵن يهاجم البلدان المجاورة ويقترب من الهجوم عليهم .يوافق رئيس الجيش على اتخاذ اجراء بخصوص الموضوع لكي ﻻيصلهم هجوم العدو ويتم ارسال بطل اللعبة في مهمة للتخلص من اﻷعداء وقواعدهم في مهمة تكتيكية بأستخدام طائرته الحربية . -

Ultimate Air Combat (known as Aces: Iron Eagle III in Japan) is a semi-realistic combat flight simulatordeveloped and published by Activision in 1992 for the Nintendo Entertainment System/Family Computer. 
The story begins when the White House calls an emergency meeting, where they reveal that the military dictator Don Gwano is using the high revenue from his large oil exports to fund his large army and navy. He is now attacking neighbouring countries and the president's military advisers have agreed that action needs to be taken. Rather than a full scale invasion, they propose a tactic of quick lightning strikes to take out specific systems vital to Don Gwano's militaristic regime. As the top pilot in the military, you are chosen to perform these attacks.
