قصة سونيك كايوس تدور حول الدوكتور روبوتينك وسعيه للهيمنة على العالم ونشر الفوضى عبر استخدام زمردة غامضة لصنع اسلحة ليزر نووية .بينما كان سونيك وتيلز خارج في مغامرة خارج الجزيرة سمعو بأن الدوكتور روبوتينك قد عاد الى جنوب الجزيرة في غيابهم وقام بسرقة الزمردة الحمراء .نتيجة لسرقة الزمردة الغامضة والعجيبة تناثرت الخمس زمردات اﻷخريات الى اطراف الجزيرة كل زمردة في مكان مختلف وبدون وجود الزمردات الست معا قد تغرق الجزيرة وسكانها فالمحيط .هنا يأتي دور سونيك وتيلز للذهاب في مغامرة عبر عدة مراحل لجمع الزمردات واستعادة الزمردة المسروقة ﻷنقاذ الجزيرة وسكانها. -
Sonic the Hedgehog Chaos is a platform game for the Sega Master System developed by Aspect and published and released by Sega in Europe on October 25, 1993.
The storyline to Sonic Chaos revolves around Dr. Robotnik and his quest for world domination via the use of the mysterious Chaos Emeralds to create nuclear weapons and lasers (according to the North American instruction manual).While out on an aimless adventure, Sonic and Tails hear a troubling rumor: word has it that Robotnik has returned to South Island in their absence and has managed to procure the Red Chaos Emerald. As a result of the theft, the other five Emeralds have been thrown off-balance, scattered to all ends of the island. Without the power of all six Chaos Emeralds, South Island and its residents will sink into the ocean. With no time to lose, Sonic and Tails head for ground zero to retrieve the stolen gem.

تحدث قصة اللعبة في العام 5012 في كوكب يعرف بأسم ابادوكس .في وقت قريب يؤكل هذا الكوكب بواسطة كائن عمﻻق غريب يدعى باراستيس عندما انتهى من هذا الكوكب .يسعى ﻷلتهام الكواكب اﻷخرى داخل المجرة .يحاول الجيش المجري محاربة الكائن العمﻻق ولكن دون جدوى حيث قام بتدميرهم ايظا .يكتشف قريبا ايظا ان الكائن قام بألتهام اﻷميرة .لذلك قرر الجيش المجري ارسال افضل مقاتل لديهم للدخول الى الكائن وانقاذ اﻷميرة قبل فوات اﻷوان والتخلص من الكائن وانقاذ المجرة منه.

In the year 5012, the planet known as Abadox is soon eaten by a giant alien organism known as Parasitis. Once the planet has been consumed, the alien takes the form of the entire planet and seeks to devour other planets within the galaxy. The galactic military tries to fight the alien, but to no avail, as Parasitis destroys the entire galactic military, except for one hospital ship. It is then discovered that Princess Maria has been devoured as well. The galactic military decides to send out their best fighter, "Second Lieutenant Nazal", to attempt to enter Parasitis' body and rescue Princess Maria before it's too late.

The player must race to the end of each stage as fast as possible against a time limit while avoiding traffic. At the end of each stage, the player is presented with a fork in the road where the player must choose one of two stages.

تبدأ قصة اللعبة في مدينة الغول حيث يحكمها الملك ﻻسيك الذي بعد فترة يتحوا الى دين جديد وصبح دكتاتورا قاسيا .بعد سلسلة من التغييرات السياسية القاسية ضهر بعض المتمردين ضد الحاكم ولكن بﻻ جدوى حيث كان يمتلك قوة تحميه .احد رجال الشرطة اﻵليين قام بقتل زعيم الثورة او زعيم المتمردين وهو نيرو ﻻندل .بعدها تظهر اخته اليس وتقسم على اخذ اﻷنتقام ﻷخيها المقتول من خﻻل خوضها مغامرة ضد اﻷشرار والقتال ضدهم للوصول الى الحاكم والتخلص منه.
