Comix Zone is a 1995 arcade-style beat 'em up video game, originally released as a Sega Genesis exclusive. The game's unique feature is that it is set within the panels of a comic book. Each level consists of two pages and secrets are discovered by shredding the paper and revealing items. The dialogue is rendered within talk bubbles. Spritesand backgrounds possess the bright colours and dynamic drawing style favoured by superhero comics.

After saving Earth from Warhead in the previous game, Vectorman's sludge barge is targeted and destroyed by a missile. Jackal (特殊部隊ジャッカル Tokushu Butai Jakkaru?, "Special Forces Jackal"), also distributed under the title of Top Gunner, is an overhead run'n gun-style shoot-'em-up video game by Konami released for the arcades in 1986. The player must maneuver an armed jeep in order to rescue prisoners of war (POWs) trapped in enemy territory.
The Jackal unit is an elite group of four soldiers that have undergone a harsh training regiment to survive in any environment. The team is composed of Colonel Decker, Lieutenant Bob, Sergeant Quint and Corporal Grey. They have been given a mission to drive two armed jeeps into hostile territory in order to rescue and extract POWs.

Strider is set in a dystopian future in the year 2048, where a mysterious dictator known as the "Grandmaster" rules over the world. Hiryu, the youngest ever Super A Ranked member of an organization of high-tech ninja agents known as the "Striders", is alone tasked with the Grandmaster's assassination. Hiryu begins his mission by infiltrating the Grandmaster's capital at the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.
