Die Hard Arcade, known in Japan as Dynamite Deka (ダイナマイト刑事 Dainamaito Deka?, lit.Dynamite Detective) is an beat 'em up video game released by Sega. An original property in Japan, the game was published outside of Japan by Fox Interactive as a licensed product based on the Die Hard moviefranchise. Released in 1996 for arcades, the game was ported to the Sega Saturn in 1997 and the PlayStation 2 (Japan only) in the Sega Ages line in 2006. A sequel, Dynamite Cop, was released for arcades and Dreamcast in 1998 without the Die Hard license.
Terrorists have kidnapped the President's daughter. Only John McClane, the toughest police officer on the force, can save her. His mission is to eliminate the terrorists and rescue the girl. Fortunately, there are 15 different weapons, including assault rifles, furniture, robot parts, and gasoline, to grab and use against any enemy that gets in his way. In addition to the artillery, McClane also has more than 1,000 different moves that will help him remove the bad guys. When the going gets tough, the Two-Player mode will give McClane some back up. Make sure Missie Herrington is reunited with her father in DIE HARD ARCADE.
