في هذه اللعبة يسيطر الﻻعب على بطل القصة سيمبا .بنفس احداث الفيلم .يبدأ سيمبا من صغره في مغامرته واثناء التقدم فالمراحل يكبر .فالنصف اﻷول من اللعبة ؛الﻻعب يتحكم بسيمبا وهو صغير والذي يقاتل اعدائه عن طريق القفز عليهم او الزئير .وعليه المرور بعدة مراحل صعبة من خﻻل تجنب الحيوانات البرية والصخور وفي النصف الثاني من اللعبة سيمبا يكبر ويحصل على حركات قتالية جديدة ويكون قادرا على الخدش والضرب والرمي بأي شكل من اﻷشكال .ويكمل مهمته عبر المراحل المتبقية ليصل الى نهاية القصة.. -
The Lion King is a platformer video game based on Disney's popular animated film of the same name. The title was developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1994, and was also ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, PC, Amiga, Master System, and Game Gear. The NES and Master System versions of the game were never released in North America. The Lion King was the final game released for the NES in Europe. A PlayStation launch title was going to be released in Japan but was cancelled. The game follows Simba's journey from a young carefree cub to the battle with his evil uncle Scar as an adult.
