Xenogears (ゼ
ノギアス Zenogiasu?) is ascience fiction role-playing video gamedeveloped
and published by Squaresoft for Sony's PlayStation. It was released on
February 11, 1998 in Japan and on October 20, 1998 in North America.
Xenogears follows
protagonist Fei Fong Wong and several others as they journey to uncover
the truth behind mysterious, cabalistic entities operating in their
world. The principles and philosophies of Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund
Freud and Carl Jung influence the plot, character design, and world
of Xenogears. Additionally, the symbols, theological concepts, and
devotional practices of several world religions are represented in
fictionalized forms in the game. Major psychological themes are the
nature of identity and human memory, particularly as these relate to the
phenomenon of dissociative identity disorder. The relationship between
humanity and machines is central to the game's plot, as indicated by the
presence of giant robots dubbed "gears," which almost each playable
character can control.

game features wrestlers from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Unlike Acclaim's previous WWF game, 1996's WWF in Your House, War
Zone features characters represented by 3D modelsand a new
grappling-based gameplay system. In addition to a single-player mode in
which players challenge for various championships, WWF War Zonealso
includes various multiplayer modes and a create-a-wrestler mode that was
extensive for its time. Its presentation, gameplay and create mode
garnered the game positive critical reception. The game was also popular
with players, becoming a best-selling and frequently rented title in
the months after its release.

Buddies is a shooter video gamereleased for the PlayStation on 15
September 2000. It was developed by Psygnosis Camden Studio (now SCE
Studio Soho) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in Europe
and Midway Games in North America.
Buddy
Land was peaceful place until red and blue crates fell from the sky
that contained weapons the Buddies had never seen before. Unfortunately,
these new items split the Buddies into color-coordinated factions, and
war ensues. You must direct the war efforts in 64 missions that span
eight different worlds. In each of the missions, you must defend your
base and destroy the enemy. Since this is not an easy task, you must
capture the blocks that fall from the sky and stack them into shapes to
create new weapons and units. After completing all of the missions,
several four-player modes open including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag,
and Domination. Now you can try to become the master of Buddy Land and
destroy the other colors in TEAM BUDDIES.

Wild
9, known as Wildroid 9 (ワイルドロイド9 Wairudoroido Nain?) in Japan, is
a2.5D platform video game for the PlayStation. The game was designed by
David Perry, developed by Shiny Entertainment, and published
by Interplay; all of which were parties involved in Earthworm Jim series
of video games. The game was released in North America and Europe in
September 1998, and in Japan in February 2000.
From
the same company that developed the popular EARTHWORM JIM series comes
WILD 9 for the PlayStation. The game takes place in a 3D world, with
huge polygonal environments, though much of the action occurs on a 2D
path. The actual gameplay follows the normal formula of a platformer,
except with some exciting new twists. The main character, Wex, has a
hook that allows him to attack enemies in various ways. You must learn
how to dispose of each enemy in a highly imaginative way. You must also
use your hook to solve the various puzzles that are littered throughout
each level by utilizing items you find or other objects that are strewn
about the environment. Featuring a loud and invigorating rock
soundtrack, WILD 9 for the PlayStation takes platforming games to a new
level, with brand-new concepts and enough gameplay to keep the most
hardcore gamer busy for a while.
